A book created for photographer and my friend Sofiia Shakh, who was born in Ukraine to a Ukrainian–Pashtun
family, lives in the Czech Republic, and whose relatives emigrated to Great Britain as refugees.
The book explores this complex heritage through photography, text, family dialogues,
and archival materials. I created the graphic design for the publication.
